Kerala Mountain Trails Tour – Munnar, Chinnar & Vagamon – 7 Nights / 8 Days
Explore Kerala’s Western Ghats through Munnar’s tea mountains, Marayoor and Chinnar’s forest trails, Thekkady’s Periyar landscapes and Vagamon’s misty meadows on an immersive 8-day nature journey.
Overview
Discover Kerala beyond its beaches and backwaters on this 7 Nights / 8 Days Kerala Mountain Trails Tour, designed around the highlands and protected landscapes of the Western Ghats. Begin with the scenic climb from Kochi to Munnar, where tea plantations, misty valleys, Mattupetty, Kundala and selected viewpoints introduce Kerala’s best-known hill country. Continue with Eravikulam National Park when open, tea heritage and plantation walks before travelling through Marayoor’s sandalwood and megalithic landscape to the Chinnar region for an authorised guided nature or trekking experience. The journey then moves south to Thekkady and Periyar Tiger Reserve for spice-country scenery, a regulated nature walk, boating or another Forest Department eco-tourism programme as confirmed, followed by Vagamon’s rolling meadows, pine valleys and gentle mountain trails. Finish with a night in Kochi before departure. The original Saar Holidays page is currently unavailable and no exact archived itinerary could be verified, so this programme has been professionally reconstructed from the strongest Kerala mountain-trail route patterns and current official Kerala Tourism destination information. Forest and national-park activities are permit-based and subject to seasonal closure, weather, trail conditions and authority rules; wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, and animal-riding activities are not included in the base programme.
