After breakfast, leave Kochi and drive into the Western Ghats toward Periyar/Thekkady. Spend the day discovering Thekkadyu2019s spice-country character. Visit a locally operated spice plantation to learn about pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and other crops, then browse the local spice market and enjoy time at leisure. After breakfast, check out and drive from the hills to Kumarakom on the shores of Vembanad Lake. Check in at the backwater resort and enjoy the slower rhythm of Keralau2019s lake country.
