Arrive Delhi. Met upon arrival and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
Breakfast at the hotel. Later transfer to airport to board flight for Srinagar. Arrive Srinagar and check into Houseboat for lunch. After lunch sightseeing of Srinagar.
Back to Houseboat for dinner and overnight stay.
Early morning enjoy Sikara Ride to see the floating vegetable market on Dal Lake. Back to hotel for breakfast. Later drive to Sonamarg. Arrive Sonamarg and check into hotel for lunch. Afternoon free. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
After Breakfast leave early for Lamayuru. Today we shall be crossing Sonamarg ( Know as the Meadow of Gold), Zojila Pass 3527 Mtrs (known as Gateway to Ladakh), Where you have a Spectacular view of Kargil War Famous Peaks (Tiger, Tololing and Other Peaks) and Drass (2nd Coldest Inhabitant Place on earth). Arrive Lamayuru and check into hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast start to your Moonland tour. Visit Lamayuru Gompa, an ancient monastery believed to be made by sowing a seed of barley in a pond. However, your journey to this place allows you to travel over the serpentine road and once you reach at the top the mountain you will believe why the name of this tour is Moonland exactly the same formation of land is visible as on the moon. If time permits then visit the monastery at Ridzong, the school where young lamas are taught Buddhism. This campsite is however in many ways better than a hotel if you take into account the location of this campsite and facilities put together at this camp. You are surrounded by peach and apple trees and you are right over a cliff on the river Indus.
Lunch at local restaurant in Alchi. Later visit Alchi Gompa. Alchi has murals paintings dating back to the 11th century and is perhaps one of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh. Later drive to Leh. Check into hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast at the hotel. Later sightseeing of Thiksey where you can see the biggest future Buddha statue of Maitreya. Later visit the richest monastery of Ladakh, Hemis, this monastery is nestled between two mountains and houses the rare Buddhist artefacts and texts. It is here in the month of June – July takes place the famous Hemis festivalAfter breakfast. On the way back visit to Shey, the summer palace of the royal family… Return back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Tsomoriri Lake. Drive begins with a drive to Chumathang (240 km). Stop at Upshi checkpoint. From there, proceed to Karu and the road leads to Chumathang, which is famous for a medical bath. Head towards Sumdah village from where a 55 km drive takes you to Tsomoriri. Spend the day there and rest in luxury tents during the night.
Ladakh Adventure Tour
Visit Korzok village in the morning. Stroll near Tsomoriri Lake all through the day. After lunch drive to Tsokar via Puga Valley via Mahe Village. Later proceed to Tsokar while ascending the Polokongka Pass (13,500 ft.). Upon arrival, visit the small Tsokar Lake. Here you can see a number of wild asses grazing around. Dinner and overnight camp.
Breakfast at camp. Later drive to Leh via NH (Leh – Manali) road. Cross Tanglangla Pass (5350 m), the world’s second highest motorable pass to reach Leh. Arrive Leh and check into hotel for dinner and overnight at hotel.
Early morning drive from Leh to Nubra (7 hours drive). The Nubra valley lies in the north of Leh and is accessible over the Khardung-la (18,380 ft) the highest motorable road in the world. The valley was a trade route from Leh and Khasgar via Sasser and Karakoram passes. Apart from unparalleled trekking opportunities, the valley has several Buddhist monasteries namely Sumoor, Tigar and 350 years old Diskit monastery famous for its murals. From Khardung-la drive to Khardung village through the starkly beautiful countryside to the Traffic Check Post (TCP) at Khalsar where permits have been registered and checked. Drive to Sumur. Arrive Sumur and check into the hotel. Evening visit Samtaling. Back to hotel for dinner and overnight camp.
Diskit Monastery, Ladakh after early breakfast walk up to Diskit monastery to witness the Morning Prayer ceremony. It takes about 45 minutes to reach the monastery through a long row of scattered Chortens. The monastery is one the highest point near the villages belonging to yellow sect. The monastery has 120 resident monks. The Prayer Hall (Dukhang) has many statues one of which holds the head and left arm of Turkish invader believed to be about 5000 years old. After lunch leaves for Hundar village through the sandy desert valley and visit old fort of Hundar village and a small monastery. Diskitis one of the oldest monasteries in this part of the world. It is the seat of the Dalai Lama in Nubra with a private palace dedicated to the Lama. At Hundar there is a very small monastery but this monastery is known throughout the Buddhist world for its high order. Return to your camps and on the way stop to see the double hump camels: a race of camels that dates back to the time of the Silk route caravan. Later drive to Leh. Arrive Leh and check into a hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Early morning transfer to Leh airport to board flight for Delhi. Arrive Delhi and check into the hotel for relaxing and use the hotel facilities. Afternoon free. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. proceed for combined sightseeing of Old and New Delhi including India Gate, President House, Qutab Minar and possibly a Cycle Rikshaw ride in old Delhi. Lunch at a local restaurant. After dinner transfer to airport to board flight for onward destination.
