Discover an extensive 15 Nights / 16 Days wildlife journey linking Delhi with Karnataka and Kerala’s most rewarding nature destinations. After Delhi and Bengaluru/Mysuru sightseeing, enter the forests of Nagarhole and Kabini, continue to the biodiverse BR Hills and Bandipur National Park, then cross the Nilgiris through Ooty toward Munnar and Eravikulam National Park. The route continues to Periyar Tiger Reserve for lake-based wildlife experiences and finishes among the bird-rich backwaters of Kumarakom before departure from Kochi. Designed for wildlife enthusiasts, photographers, couples and small groups, the programme combines comfortable hotels and wildlife lodges, private road transfers, guided nature experiences and authorised safaris while keeping all park entries, sightings and activity schedules subject to permits, seasonal closures and forest regulations.
Day-wise Itinerary
Day 1Arrival in Delhi+
Arrive in Delhi and meet the local representative for transfer to your hotel. Complete check-in formalities and keep the remainder of the day free to rest after your journey or explore nearby markets at your own pace. Overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 2Delhi Sightseeing+
After breakfast, enjoy a guided introduction to Delhi with visits to landmarks such as India Gate, Qutub Minar and Humayunu2019s Tomb, together with a drive past the central government district. Return to the hotel after sightseeing and stay overnight in Delhi.
Day 3Delhi to Bengaluru & Mysuru Excursion+
Transfer to Delhi Airport for your flight to Bengaluru, with airfare arranged separately unless included in the final quotation. On arrival, proceed with the planned city or Mysuru excursion, visiting highlights such as Mysore Palace and Brindavan Gardens depending on flight timing. Return to Bengaluru for an overnight stay.
Day 4Bengaluru to Nagarhole National Park+
After breakfast, drive toward Nagarhole National Park and the Kabini landscape. Check in at your wildlife lodge or resort and, subject to permit and slot availability, join an authorised afternoon jeep safari or forest experience with opportunities to observe elephants, gaur, deer, wild dogs, leopards, tigers and diverse birdlife. Overnight stay near Nagarhole.
Day 5Nagarhole Wildlife & Kabini Experience+
Spend the day exploring the Nagarholeu2013Kabini ecosystem. Depending on the confirmed package and operating conditions, enjoy a morning wildlife safari, birdwatching session or Kabini boat experience, followed by another authorised wildlife activity later in the day. Return to the lodge for an overnight stay.
Day 6Nagarhole to BR Hills+
After breakfast, drive to the Biligiri Rangan Hills, where the Western and Eastern Ghats meet. Check in at the selected lodge or camp and enjoy a guided nature walk or wildlife-focused excursion around the BRT landscape, subject to local rules and guide availability. Overnight stay at BR Hills.
Day 7BR Hills Wildlife & Birdwatching+
Enjoy morning and evening nature and wildlife sessions around the BRT Tiger Reserve landscape. Look for deer, gaur, elephants, sloth bear, langurs and a wide variety of birdlife while exploring only approved visitor areas with local guides. Return to your lodge or camp for an overnight stay.
Day 8BR Hills to Bandipur National Park+
After breakfast, drive to Bandipur National Park and check in at your wildlife resort. In the afternoon, join an authorised safari subject to advance permit and seat availability, exploring the dry deciduous forest for elephants, gaur, deer, predators and birdlife. Overnight stay near Bandipur.
Day 9Bandipur Wildlife Safaris+
Dedicate the day to Bandipuru2019s forest ecosystem with morning and evening wildlife-viewing sessions where permits and operating schedules allow. The reserve forms part of the Nilgiri landscape and offers opportunities to see elephants, chital, sambar, gaur, wild boar and, with luck, tiger or leopard. Overnight stay near Bandipur.
Day 10Bandipur to Ooty+
After breakfast, leave the wildlife reserve and drive through the Nilgiri hills to Ooty. Check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day enjoying the cool hill-station atmosphere, with optional visits to Ooty Lake, the Government Botanical Garden, viewpoints or tea-growing areas depending on arrival time. Overnight stay in Ooty.
Day 11Ooty to Munnar & Eravikulam Region+
After breakfast, travel toward Munnar in Kerala, passing scenic Western Ghats landscapes and plantation country. Check in at the selected hotel or resort and enjoy a relaxed evening. Depending on arrival time and the parku2019s seasonal operating schedule, Eravikulam sightseeing may be planned today or the following morning. Overnight stay in Munnar.
Day 12Eravikulam National Park to Periyar+
Visit Eravikulam National Park during its authorised visitor hours to explore the high-altitude grassland habitat associated with the endangered Nilgiri tahr, noting that the park can close seasonally. Later drive to Thekkady/Periyar, check in at the wildlife resort and enjoy the surrounding forest and spice-country atmosphere. Overnight stay in Thekkady.
Day 13Periyar Wildlife & Lake Experience+
Spend the day in and around Periyar Tiger Reserve. Subject to ticket availability and current regulations, enjoy an authorised boat cruise on Periyar Lake and other approved nature or birdwatching experiences, with opportunities to observe elephants, gaur, deer, primates and birdlife along the forested shoreline. Overnight stay in Thekkady.
Day 14Periyar to Kumarakom+
After breakfast, drive from Thekkady to Kumarakom on the banks of Vembanad Lake. Check in at your resort and enjoy a leisurely afternoon exploring the backwater setting, with an optional local boat ride or village experience according to the confirmed programme. Overnight stay in Kumarakom.
Day 15Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary & Backwaters+
Begin the day with a relaxed backwater or birdwatching experience around Kumarakom. Visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary or approved nearby birding areas and look for resident and migratory waterbirds depending on the season. Spend the remainder of the day enjoying the lakeside environment before another overnight stay in Kumarakom.
Day 16Kumarakom to Kochi & Departure+
After breakfast, drive to Kochi. If your onward flight timing permits, enjoy sightseeing around Fort Kochi and Mattancherry, including attractions such as St. Francis Church, the Chinese Fishing Nets area and Mattancherry Palace. Later transfer to Kochi International Airport for your onward journey, concluding the South India Wildlife Tour.
